Kollage – Funktion als Haltung

Kollage basiert auf einem einfachen Prinzip, das mich schon lange fasziniert: sogenannten französischen Leisten – funktionale Wandprofile, wie man sie aus Werkstätten kennt. Mich hat interessiert, wie man dieses System in den Wohnraum übersetzen kann, ohne es nostalgisch zu zitieren. Die Antwort war eine gestalterische Neuinterpretation – reduziert, modular, offen.

Das zentrale Element ist ein runder Haken, formal zurückhaltend, aber strukturell entscheidend. Er verbindet, trägt, strukturiert – und wird zur Basis eines Systems, das sich aus Spiegeln, Regalen und Leisten zusammensetzen lässt. Dabei bleibt die Verbindung immer sichtbar – nicht als technisches Detail, sondern als gestalterisches Statement.

Kollage zeigt für mich, wie ein funktionales Prinzip zur Haltung werden kann. Das System funktioniert im Hintergrund – und wirkt zugleich im Raum. Leise, klar, offen für Veränderungen.

Kollage – Function as Attitude

Kollage is based on a simple principle that has always fascinated me: the so-called French cleat – a functional wall profile, commonly found in workshops. I was interested in rethinking this system for the living space – not as a nostalgic reference, but as a contemporary design interpretation.

At the center is a circular hook – formally minimal, but structurally essential. It serves as a connector, a load-bearer, and a spatial organizer. From this point, a system unfolds: shelves, mirrors, rails. The connection remains visible – not as a technical necessity, but as a deliberate design element.

Kollage explores how function can become form. The system integrates quietly into the space – modular, flexible, and visually grounded.
